Finnish newspapers and the Legal Deposit collection
Turku University Library is one of the six Legal Deposit libraries in Finland. Due to the Legal Deposit right we have all the Finnish newspapers from 1919 to 2007.
The foreign newpapers in Turku University Library collections are mainly in electronic form. Through PressReader there is access to more than 600 foreign newspapers from over 70 countries for two weeks from the publishing date.
Vast archives of especially American newspapers can be used electronically since the end of the 17th century.

If you have a UTU user name, you can request a journal article from the National Repository Library to your email free of charge. Book loans have a fee.
