Tips and advice

Vast majority of the Turku University Library's e-books can be read directly via the internet and most of them

  • can be found in the library's Volter database (only e-books in EEBO- and ECCO can be found via their own interfaces)
  • can be read as pdf files or html pages
  • can be used both through the university network as well as on a home computer by logging in with your utu username and password

You can borrow laptops and tablets from the library e.g. for reading e-books. More information on library's devices available for loan.

How to find e-books?
Make a basic search in Volter database and after that click "Electronic Resource" on the right. All remaining records will have a link to full text after that.

How to read e-books?
Every e-book has a link to full text. In the university network you don't need your utu ID or password. If you read the e-books at home the link takes you to a page where you can log in.
